
Eugene Rousseau, one of the pioneers of saxophone pedagogy as well as an acclaimed performer known for his emotional sensitivity and technical brilliance, passed away on August 27, 2024. He tutored a generation of saxophonists at Indiana University and later at the University of Minnesota. His published works include the method book Saxophone High Tones, available in several languages, and transcriptions of classical repertoire from Scarlatti to Debussy.
