It is assumed the player has mastered the fundamentals of correct embouchure and tone production and is now ready to attach the problem of moving the fingers quickly.  These etudes have been compiled to stress technical skill and facility.  Some etudes are original and the others are patterned after the works of Wiedemann, Lazarus, Berr, Klose, Rode, Campagnoll, Mueller, Mazas, Ferling, and Gambaro.
