Reprint edition of this clarinet sonata by the celebrated French composer in 1921. One of Saint-Saens’ last works, the Sonata for Clarinet in E flat was the second of three sonatas composed for wind instruments, as the composer devoted his “last reserves on giving rarely considered instruments the chance to be heard.” This neoclassical work for the advanced clarinetist is replete with lyricism, elegance and humor.
