Overture for Symphonic Band was composed in 1970 by Bin Kaneda at the request of the Yamaha Concert Band. The idea for the theme of the Allegro came to the composer during a Fall festival of the village in Shikoku Island, along the coast of the Inland Sea where he spent two years of his childhood.
