Duration: 3
Description:
Hermann Ludwig Blankenburg (1876 – 1956) was a German composer of military marches, and is likely the most prolific march composer in history (1328 in total), preferring to compose when inspiration struck rather than take commissions, which was about once a week for 20 years. His marches are all in the characteristic German style, and he was fond of writing soaring euphonium countermelodies, a feature in this march, which has been arranged for contemporary band instrumentation by James Jurrens.
