Commissioned by the New York Philharmonic for clarinetist Stanley Drucker and premiered under the baton of Leonard Slatkin on January 3, 1992. Both the orchestra and a version for band are available for rent. A recording with Richard Stoltzman on clarinet with the Lancaster Festival Orchestra under Gary Sheldon is available from Marquis, CD 774718139726. Movements: I. Allegro, II. Cantabile, III.
