Jean-Baptiste Lully (1632-1687), while born in Italy, is associated with France, where he became a violinist in the court orchestra of the Sun King, Louis XIV, becoming the King’s favorite musician as Lully developed an expertise in the King’s tastes. This practical performance edition for young orchestra players of Lully’s "The King’s Musicians" has been arranged by music historian Albert Seay, and includes five movements: I. Overture, II. Menuett, III. Gavotte, IV. Fanfare, V. March.
