Description:

Espa�a, rhapsody for orchestra is the most well-known work by French composer Emmanuel Chabrier (1841-1894). Written in 1883, Chabrier was inspired following a trip to Spain with his wife, where he learned about the local folk genres. The work was premiered by Orchestre de Soci�t� des Nouveaux Concerts in Paris, November 4th, 1883, under the baton of Charles Lamoureux, to whom the work was dedicated.
