Description:

Dr, Grant Beglarian (1927-2002) was born in Georgia, Russia and studied viola and composition in the Royal Conservatory of Music in Tehran, Iran before moving to the United States in 1947. In 1959, Beglarian received the George Gershwin Memorial Award, which entitled him to a performance of “Divertimento” by the New York Philharmonic under Leonard Bernstein.
