Originally written and performed as part of his New York debut piano recital, George Walker was only 23 years old when the “Prelude” was composed and 18 years old when writing the “Caprice,” orginally titled “Danse Exotique.” These short works compelled Dr. Walker to write his first Sonata for Piano.
