Capriccio for Clarinet and Strings
Composers:- Schifrin, Lalo
Duration: 10
Description:
Schifrin’s Capriccio consists of two movements: the first one rather introspective, and its internal tonal structure is based on the extension of middle eastern scales into a polymodal language. The second movement is joyful in character and is loosely based on the rhythms of Israeli folk dances. Commissioned by the Israel Philharmonic Orchestra, Capriccio was recorded by David Scifrin with the Adelaide Symphony on Aleph Records.
