Description:
Vincenzo Righini (1756-1812) was born in Bologna, Italy. His excellent voice enabled him to train as a choir boy at St. Petronio in Bologna. Operas, sacred music, songs and instrumental music make up the body of his work. In this performing edition, the editors’ additionas and suggestions are placed in brackets. The volume includes seven duets from “Dodici Duetti da Camera, Op. 8″, ” Zum Geburtstage einer jungen Freundinn” (duet), plus a vocal trio and two quartets. All Righini’s instrumental accompaniments have transcribed for piano in this edition, edited by Edwin Penhorwood and Costanz Cuccaro.
