Description:

Cantique and Faranade was commissioned in the Spring of 1966 by the Arkansas School Band and Orchestra Association and was premiered by the Arkansas All-State Band in the Spring of 1967. Since that time, the work has gained wide acceptance in the band literature. This arrangement for flexible instrumentation commemorates the 55th Anniversary of this piece. It is written to be playable by any SSATB combination of instruments with optional percussion, from 5 players through large ensembles.
