Little Prelude and Fugue
Composers:- Bach, J.S.
- Stauffer, D.W.
Duration: 4
Description:
“Little Prelude and Fugue” is a short keyboard work written by J.S. Bach possibly as study material for his children. Found in a collection of “Short Preludes and Fugues,” it should not be confused with the “Little Fugue in G Minor” for organ. In this adaptation for concert band it has been transposed from A minor ro G minor. This has long been a favorite of the arranger, D.W. Stauffer, who feels its availability for band brings the concert repertoire a Bach work that is not difficult and is easy to program.
