Description:

This opera is based on the 1932 play by George S Kaufman and Edna Ferber, in turn adapted in to a movie by George Cukor (1933). Set in American Depression New York, the story presents a glimpse into the lives and troubles of the invitees to a society dinner. Music by William Bolcom and libretto by Mark Campbell.
