Description:
Collide-a-Scope is written for twelve brass instruments–four each of trumpets, horns, and trombones–and a computer-synthesized stereo tape. In live performance, both instruments and speakers are arranged for maximum stereo effect. The techniques of construction are serial, and include one section of rhythmically free improvisation by the instruments on the tone rows. The work won the Commission Award at the 1968 Georgia State College Symposium. It is recorded on 33rpm on Golden Crest Records: CR 4085
