Founded in 1926, Edwin F. Kalmus is the oldest reprint publisher in the United States. Previously located in Boca Raton, FL, the company was moved to Jacksonville in 2018, and sold to Keiser Productions Inc. in 2020. In addition to the well-known and improved reprint catalog, new series and editions are also being developed.

Published in 1874, this fourth of seven orchestral suites by Jules Massenet (1842-1912) premiered on March 22, 1874, in Paris at Châtelet, Colonne conducting. Titled “Scènes pittoresques,” the suite in four movements was dedicated to the composer’s friend, E. Paladilhe. The work has proven to be one of Massenet’s most popular concert works. The second and fourth movements are derived from the overture to L’ADORABLE BEL’-BOUL’. Movement titles: 1. Marche, 2. Air de ballet, 3. Angélus, 4. Fête bohème.
