Founded in 1926, Edwin F. Kalmus is the oldest reprint publisher in the United States.  Previously located in Boca Raton, FL, the company was moved to Jacksonville in 2018, and sold to Keiser Productions Inc. in 2020.  In addition to the well-known and improved reprint catalog, new series and editions are also being developed.

Description:

Franz Liszt (1811-1886) wrote 19 Hungarian Rhapsodies for piano as a way to incorporate the music of his youth into his compositions, and Hungarian Rhapsody No. 2 in C-sharp minor, S.244/2 (1847) is by far the most well-known of the collection. This orchestration by Karl Müller-Berghaus (1829-1907) is transposed down to the key of C-minor. Instrumentation: 2.2.2.2: 4.2.3.0: Timp.Perc(3-4): Hp: Str (9-8-7-6-5 in set).
