Founded in 1926, Edwin F. Kalmus is the oldest reprint publisher in the United States.  Previously located in Boca Raton, FL, the company was moved to Jacksonville in 2018, and sold to Keiser Productions Inc. in 2020.  In addition to the well-known and improved reprint catalog, new series and editions are also being developed.

Description:

Leroy Anderson (1908-1975) wrote LULLABY OF THE DRUMS in 1970 as part of a series of works he wrote for beginning orchestra. Following the work’s premiere on December 5, 1970, by the Waterbury Symphony Orchestra (conducted by the composer), Anderson withdrew the composition. Following his death, Anderson’s family decided to publish this work that features the percussion section – snare drums, timpani, bongos, and marimba/xylophone – in a slow march.
