Founded in 1926, Edwin F. Kalmus is the oldest reprint publisher in the United States.  Previously located in Boca Raton, FL, the company was moved to Jacksonville in 2018, and sold to Keiser Productions Inc. in 2020.  In addition to the well-known and improved reprint catalog, new series and editions are also being developed.

Description:

Between 1917 and 1931, Ottorino Respighi (1879-1936) transcribed three orchestral suites from original pieces written for lute between the 16th and 18th centuries. ANTICHE DANZE ED ARIE (ANCIENT AIRS AND DANCES), SUITE 2, written in 1923, includes the following works: 1. Laura Soave (Fabritio Caros, ca. 1531); 2. Danza Rustica (Jean-Baptiste Besard, ca. 1617); 3. Campan� Parisienses/ Aria (anonymous composer/Marin Mersenne, ca. 1600/136); 4. Bergamasca (Bernardo Gianoncelli, ca. 1650). Instrumentation: 3+(3rd d.Picc).2+EH.2.2: 3.2.3.0: Timp: Clst.Hp.Hpschd(2): Str (9-8-7-6-5 in set). Reprint edition, including both the original key and transposed parts for the clarinets, horns, and trumpets.
