
Founded in 1926, Edwin F. Kalmus is the oldest reprint publisher in the United States. Previously located in Boca Raton, FL, the company was moved to Jacksonville in 2018, and sold to Keiser Productions Inc. in 2020. In addition to the well-known and improved reprint catalog, new series and editions are also being developed.

Description:
Walter S. Hartley (1927-2016), whose works for saxophone and low brass significantly expanded the repertoire available for those instruments, wrote the QUARTET CONCERTO for SATB saxophones in 1992 for a commission by the Atlanta Saxophone Quartet for a premiere with the DeKalb Symphony Orchestra. In four movements, the soli players are treated as a composite unit pitted againt the orchestra, somewhat as in the Baroque concerto grosso. The harmonic style is freely tonal. A version with orchestra accompaniment is available from Edwin F. Kalmus, while versions with wind ensemble or piano accompaniment are available from LudwigMasters Music.
