Description:

Perhaps the best-known music from Giuseppe Verdi’s (1813-1901) 4 Act opera Il Trovatore, the Coro di Zingari (Chorus of the Gypsies), or “Anvil Chorus,” from the beginning of the Act 2 depicts Spanish gypsies singing the praises of hard work, good wine, and their gypsy women, all while striking their anvils at dawn. This choral score includes piano accompaniment so that it may be performed with piano only or with the larger orchestra accompaniment.
