EXTRACTION ON No. 9 recreates the nerve wracking experience of a visit to the dentist! Commissioned for orchestra originally by the Albuquerque Youth Symphony under the title EXTRACTION ON No. 8, this version for large symphonic wind ensemble was requested by a consortium of universities across Illinois, Texas, and Indiana. The work is ideal for student ensembles.
