THREE FINNISH FOLKSONGS was written for Michael Rosen of the Oberlin College Conservatory of Music for use at the International Marimba and Mallet Clinic, Perheniemi College, Finland. The work was completed April 28, 1988, in Elyria, OH, and was premiered in Finland that summer.
