Description:

Philip Farkas’ edition of the horn solo reflects his knowledge of Strauss works and the study of vintage scores. No notes have been changed from the original composition but phrasing marks, sometimes misinterpreted in the original edition as breath marks, have been removed. Modern edition crescendi, diminuendi and swells that mey be familiar to soloists today have been removed since they serve to arrive at certain climaxes too soon.
