Description:
Sommerset is a mostly rural area in Southwest England. This arrangement incorporates two contrasting folk tunes from the region. Waly, Waly (aka The Water is Wide) is taken (with many liberties) from the setting by Cecil Sharp in the Novello’s School Songs published in 1908. It is a lyric tune with flowing melodic lines, while Blow Away the Morning Dew plays in a very light mood and bounces throughout.
