MYTHES, Op. 30 is a suite drawing on Greek mythology for violin and piano written by Karol Szymanowski (1882-1937) in 1915. It premiered in 1916 by Paul Kochanski on violin and the composer on piano and was dedicated to Kochanski’s wife, Zofia Kocha?ska. The work includes three pieces that features advanced violin techniques and the third movement contains quarter tones. Movements: “La fontaine d’Arethuse” (The Fountain of Arethusa), “Narcisse” (Narcissus), “Dryades et Pan” (Dryads and Pan). Reprint edition.
