Description: Antonín Dvořák (1841-1904) composed his TERZETTO, Op. 74 while living at his mother-in-law’s house where another room was rented to an amateur violinist, Josef Kruis. Dvořák often heard Kruis playing duets with his teacher and decided to write this trio to join them, though the work proved too difficult for Kruis, resulting in the later and easier composition MINIATURES, Op. 75a. Reprint edition.
