Charles Tomlinson Griffes (1884-1920) wrote these settings of three poems by Fiona MacLeod in 1918. These early songs by Griffes have often been difficult to obtain, so this edition is most welcome. Songs included: 1. The Lament of Ian the Proud (A.57); 2. Thy Dark Eyes to Mine (A.58); 3. The Rose of the Night (A.59). Reprint edition.
