Description: Erik Satie composed LA BELLE EXCENTRIQUE (The Eccentric Beauty) as a choreographed dance suite. Commissioned by Élizabeth Toulemont, it premiered at the Théâtre du Colisée in Paris under the direction of Vladimir Golschmann. The composer later arranged a version for piano four hands, which is available in this LudwigMasters reprint edition. Movements: 1. Grande Ritournelle 1; 2. Marche franco-lunaire; 3. Valse du mystérieux baiser dans l’œil; 4. Cancan Grand-Mondain; 5. Grande Ritournelle 2 (reprise).
