Description: Counterpoint No. 1 by Vaclav Nelhybel is a duet for clarinet and alto saxophone in five movements. The first of five similarly titled works, it derives a playful energy from offbeat accents, hocket-like exchanges, and rapid scale fragments and arpeggios.
