Description: Sergei Rachmaninoff’s (1873-1943) 6 ROMANCES, Op. 4 was written for voice and piano between 1890-1893. Each of the six songs sets text by a different Russian writer. This edition of the beautiful fourth song in the collection, OH, CEASE THY SINGING, MAIDEN FAIR, was revised by the composer with famed violin virtuoso Fritz Kreisler writing a violin obbligato part, expanding the sound of the accompaniment. Reprint edition.
