PERPETUAL MOTION is a flashy, encore-type piece composed as a violin solo by Carl Böhm, who lived in the 19th and 20th centuries. This arrangement features the entire first violin section on the melody with light accompaniment by the rest of the string orchestra. For a very small orchestra or chamber ensemble it could be used as a solo piece for the concertmaster.
