This arrangement by Lucien Cailliet shows his incredible musicianship and mastery of the clarinet family in particular. Among Cailliet’s many achievements, he was principal clarinetist for the Philadelphia Orchestra under Eugene Ormandy and also Education and Publishing Director for the LeBlanc Corporation. Later in his career, he moved to the western US to become faculty at University of Southern California while conducting, composing and arranging music for Hollywood.
