Description:
This march begins with a short fanfare quoting “The General’s March”. The first and second strains were composed to represent the esprit de corps and elan of the Cavalry. The trio begins with an introduction using material from the old song “The Girl I Left Behind Me”. The theme of the trio was inspired by bugle calls until the the final gallp[ to the end. This was commissioned by and is dedicated to the U.S. Army’s 16th Cavalry Regiment, stationed at Fort Knox, Kentucky.
