This collection of solos represents part of a series of advanced works for the solo snare drummer.  These solos are intended to provide interesting material for serious practice and contests.  There has long been a need for modern, challenging drum solos that go beyond the normal rudimental solo.  It is the author’s hope that these solos will bring about a greater understanding of time signatures, uncommon rhythmic phrases, application of advanced rudiments, and musical forms.
