Claude Baker premieres

Claude Baker’s A Voice Passes was premiered by the Pacifica String Quartet on April 6, 2024 at the Indiana University Jacobs School of Music. The work was created with the support of a Bogliasco Foundation Fellowship, with additional funding provided by the Office of the Vice Provost of Research at Indiana University, Bloomington. The revised version of his Carmen infernarum machinarum fugax, written for Alarm Will Sound, was premiered by that ensemble on August 22, 2024 at the Time:Spans Festival. This work was completed while the composer was in residence at Copland House, Cortlandt Manor, New York, as a recipient of the Copland House Residency Award.
