Pasquale Tassone

Bio:

Pasquale Tassone studied at the Giuseppe Verdi Conservatory in Milan, has an honors diploma from the Chigiana Academy in Siena, Italy and a Ph D from Brandeis University. His teachers have included Franco Donatoni, Giacomo Manzoni and Sandro Gorli in Italy and John Clement Adams, Martin Boykan and Harold Shapero in the United States. He has written music for the University of Lowell recital series, the M.I.T. Band and ALEA III. In 1995 he was commissioned by the Massachusetts Instrumental Conductors Association (MICA) to write a chamber piece that was premiered at the Massachusetts All State Music Convention in March of 1996. Also in 1995, his Piccolo Preludio for solo piano was published in the League-ISCM Piano Book. His music is published by E.C. Schirmer, Kendor Music, Grand Mesa Publications, Fenwick Parva Press, RCEditions and Southern Music.
