Lauren Keiser

Bio:

Lauren Keiser has spent much of his time in the fields of music publishing and education. He has published and edited hundreds of music books, folios and arrangements, including The Complete Beatles, scores of other popular musicians, such as John Denver and Billy Joel and the works of classical composers Lukas Foss and Howard Hanson, among others. He created and started Music Alive and Guitar One magazines, and was a co-founder of “Music in Our Schools,? the annual national celebration. He has taught at the college level and has served in senior music-publishing executive positions for the last twenty years. He is a graduate of Goddard College in Vermont. His private teachers included Elie Siegmeister, Isaac Nemiroff and Krysztof Penderecki. In November, 2007, the Union of Russian Composers premiered his work Eros for string orchestra at their Moscow Autumn New Music Festival. Adoration is taken from the first movement of that work and arranged at the school level.
