Charles Edouard Lefebvre (1843 – 1917) was born in Paris and studied with Charles Gounod and Ambroise Thomas at the Paris Conservatoire. This three-section title, published originally in 1905 as an audition piece for the Conservatoire National De Musique De Paris (Paris Music Conservatory), is a wonderful recital or contest selection for the advancing player.
