Amy Barlowe’s Three Favorite Schubert Songs includes Auf dem Wasser zu singen (To Be Sung on the Water), Viola (the “Flower Ballad”), and Die Sterne (The Stars). Suitable for recital programs, the set, composed for piano trio, will be available this coming Spring.
A requiem mass from Barlowe is also being published in two different versions, Aeternum for chorus and chamber orchestra, and a more intimate arrangement for soprano, violin, and viola.
Another new work, My Soul Will Wander Free for soprano and violin, is based on a poem written by her late mother, Dorothea Barlowe.
