Peter Lieuwen’s Tres Amigos for Violin, Horn, Piano, and Orchestra was premiered by the Moores Symphony Orchestra with violinist Kirsten Yon, hornist Brian Mangrum, and pianist Timothy Hester at the Moores Opera House on November 20, 2021. The same soloists performed it at the Lila Cockrell Theatre in San Antonio on February 11, 2022 for the Texas Music Educators Association Convention.
Peter Lieuwen created his Concerto for Guitar and Orchestra for guitarist Isaac Bustos. It premiered on March 7, 2019 at the Moores Opera House in Houston with the Moores Symphony Orchestra.
Originally written for flute choir by Peter Lieuwen, this is an orchestral version of Toccata Étouffée. The title and style of the work celebrates New Orleans culture.
