Founded in 1926, Edwin F. Kalmus is the oldest reprint publisher in the United States. Previously located in Boca Raton, FL, the company was moved to Jacksonville in 2018, and sold to Keiser Productions Inc. in 2020. In addition to the well-known and improved reprint catalog, new series and editions are also being developed.

Description:
Nowegian composer Johan Halvorsen (1864-1935) composed his ENTRY MARCH OF THE BOYARS in 1893, and it remains his most popular work. Following an offer of a post at the Bucharest Conservatory (which he declined), Halvorsen became very interested in the city. Reading about the 18th century entry of the Romanian boyars into Bucharest, he felt “forced” to write a piece of music about it. Initially used as stage music in 1893 at the Bergen theatre where he was director of music, Halvorsen later arranged it for orchestra.
