Description: L’Estro armonico (The Harmonic Inspiration) is a collection of 12 concerti by Antonio Vivaldi (1678-1741) for stringed instruments first published in 1711. No. 11 in D minor (RV 565/F.IV.11) is in three movements and was originally written for 2 solo violins, solo cello, strings, and continuo. This 1913 edition by Alexander Ilych Siloti orchestrates the original Vivaldi work, dispensing with the solo parts and adding a full woodwind section and organ to the tutti strings.
