Founded in 1926, Edwin F. Kalmus is the oldest reprint publisher in the United States. Previously located in Boca Raton, FL, the company was moved to Jacksonville in 2018, and sold to Keiser Productions Inc. in 2020. In addition to the well-known and improved reprint catalog, new series and editions are also being developed.

Description: Johann Strauss II’s (1825-1899) NORDSEEBILDER WALZER (PICTURES OF THE NORTH SEA WALTZ), Op. 390 was composed in 1879, drawing inspiration from the composer’s visit to the island of Föhr. The waltz evokes breezy maritime charm and Strauss’s signature Viennese elegance. His brother Eduard conducted its premiere at the Musikverein on November 16, 1879. It occasionally features in Strauss anniversary concerts and recordings, appreciated for its lyrical appeal and evocative seaside spirit.
