Description:

In 1932 while in Paris, Bohuslav Martin? (1890-1959) composed a cycle of four serenades. While what would later be considered the fourth in the series was likely written first, the other three were composed in the same order as their corresponding number. Being chamber works, Martin? found great difficulty in seeing them published. SERENATA No. 4, H. 215 (also DIVERTIMENTO; SERENÁDA; or SERENADE) is the only one of the four in the cycle that is written for an orchestra, albeit a small one. Instrumentation: 0.2.0.0: 0.0.0.0: Str (9.8.7.6.5 in set): Pno: Solo Violin.Solo Viola. Reprint edition.
