This dramatic and exuberant piece was written for the Tony award-winning musical GOLDILOCKS. The score was well-received at the time, though the musical itself, a parody of the silent film era, is not commonly performed today. The silent film depicted in the musical evolves into an epic about Ancient Egypt, resulting in this song titled HEART OF STONE in the stage production, though it is later titled PYRAMID DANCE for concert performances.
