Description:
This piece opens with a stately fanfare in the brass that starts in the trumpets before adding horns, trombones and tuba, with each entrance restating the theme. When the winds, strings, and percussion join them, the music picks up tempo before it slows back down and transitions to a beautiful melody played by celli. The brass rejoin with a solemn chorale-like section before the entire orchestra comes together for a rousing finish.
