Description:
CAPRICCIO ITALIEN, Op. 45 was originally written in 1880 by Peter Ilyich Tchaikovsky for full orchestra. It was inspired by a trip Tchaikovsky took to Rome. Tchaikovsky, himself called it an “Italian fantasia on folk tunes.” This version scored for band by John Cacavas captures Tchaikovsky original spirit of the work.
