Description:
The Requiem Mass serves as the basis for this Fisher Tull composition for band. The piece utilizes references from the early Gregorian chant to 20th century composition techniques, including aleatoric writing, special sound effects, and scoring for expanded percussion section. The Requiem was composed in memory of four students of the Clear Creek High School Band who died in a tragic accident. The work seeks to reflect both the sorrow of the event and the celebration of their brief by productive lives. Movements: I. Litany II. Spiritus
